This workshop will orient participants to when and how to best use AI tools in copyediting. The workshop will include:
- A protocol for privacy protection
- Suggested prompts to improve your experience using AI in copyediting
We will use ChatGPT in the workshop, but the principles & skills can be adapted for use with proprietary AI tools at your institution. There will also be some hands-on exploration!

CAsToR investigator Dr. Sanchez Romero will present a population simulation model for tobacco control, using an example of her work on developing a COPD Natural History Model. This webinar will build on a 2023 webinar where Dr. Sanchez Romero provided an overview of the model development.

Panelists will each provide a brief presentation on crafting resubmission applications for tobacco control proposals. There will be sufficient time for Q & A, and individuals may also submit questions when registering. This event is open to all CTP-funded individuals and their team members. This hands-on workshop will help you further develop and polish your abstract draft in advance of the August 15th submission deadline. Bring a copy of your draft to the workshop! Guidance and recommendations regarding format and content will be provided, along with an easy-to-use template. The event will be held on Zoom. CAsToR investigators Abigail Friedman, Holly Jarman, and Lauren Tonti will present an overview of how to work with state and local legislative data in tobacco regulatory science, including:
- Considerations for working with legal data
- The basics of legal epidemiology
- Best practices and pitfalls when working with qualitative and case data
Questions from the audience are welcomed and encouraged.
